Si – Liquid fertilizer based on plant extracts with properties of silicium, chitosan, betaine, induction and activation of immunity. Has the ability to protect plants from diseases and pests.
Operating mechanism:
At the present stage, plant protection products against diseases can be divided into two unequal groups. The main group consists of fungicides of classical biocidal action, during the use of which pathogens are eliminated. The second is disease resistance inducers (activators), the action of which is carried out by enhancing the protective reactions against the disease and localizing the pathogen (fungistatic action).
Disease resistance inducers can be characterized as compounds that induce (activate) signaling pathways in plants, leading to the activation of genes, defense reactions, and the development of resistance to fungal, bacterial, and viral diseases. This resistance is manifested in the localization of the pathogen in the disease process, in blocking its further invasion, spread and multiplication in plants. These compounds induce (activate) various biochemical reactions in plants, including natural induced sustainability signaling cascades, and specific signaling pathways and protection reactions, compounds having such action are called elicitors.
To protect themselves from pathogens that cross constitutional barriers, plants use reactions that act only in response to disease. The induced nature of sustainability allows plants to reduce energy costs to protect against pathogens and save energy for growth and seed production. It originated during a long coevolution process and is based on the plant's "knowledge" of the pathogen, generating and transmitting a signal to activate protection genes and reactions from it. The plant "recognizes" and distinguishes the set of pests on its surface according to its characteristic molecular structures. The interaction (reception) of these molecules (receptors) with complementary plant protein receptors induces in them protective systems of different types of natural resistance to signaling systems and disease. These are species, basal, race-specific, systemically acquired, and systemic viability induced by rhizobacteria.
Induced resistance is effective because it protects plants from a large number of potential pathogens. Phenotypic markers of plant resistance to potential pathogens are enhanced lignification, thickening of cell walls, and, occasionally, local necrosis, typical of hypersensitivity reactions.
Based on non-specific elicitors - chitin, chitosan, various polysaccharides, designed effective preparations which are practically used in plant protection. Preparations based on natural non-specific elicitors are non-toxic to humans and safe for the environment. It has no direct biocidal impact on pathogenic microorganisms, but induces systemic resistance in plants by activating signal transduction against viruses, bacteria, and fungi, increasing plant resistance to both biotrophic and necrotic pathogens. Increases plant resistance to cucumber mosaic virus, tomato - to bacteriosis, Cucumber - anthracnose and bacterial angular leaf spot, etc.
Induction of acquired systemic resilience or induced systemic resilience, even if it does not become the only way to protect plants from disease, by believe of researchers, it will integrate into plant protection systems. Of particular interest in this regard are preparations that induce resistance in plants to both disease and physiological stresses.
Si induces a hypersensitivity reaction in many plants. The preparation effectively protects wheat, rice, citrus, cotton, pepper, cucumber, fruit and grape plants from fungal, viral and bacterial diseases, reveals many positive effects on plants. Full development of stability usually occurs 3-5 days after application of the preparation and lasts for several weeks or even throughout the season. preparation is not phytotoxic and decomposes rapidly in the environment, does not contaminate the soil.
The interest in Silicium as an element that, along with carbon, shapes soil fertility and is an environmentally friendly alternative to pesticides, is obvious. The intensified desire for ecologically clean products in the last 10-15 years forces us to intensify the search for natural materials that would satisfy both the farmer (food producer) and the consumer.
Why does a plant need elements like silicium? Studies by both our and our foreign colleagues have shown that the main function of silicium in the plant is to establish and promote natural defenses against - pollution, diseases, insect pests, frost, lack of water and nutrients, and other external adverse factors.
Researchers from Japan and Canada have proven that this function of silicium is embedded at the genetic level. Farms that actively use silicium fertilizers and silicium-containing soil ameliorators reduce pesticide application doses by 50-70%. In addition, active forms of silicium promote the formation of plant root systems, accelerate flowering, increase the amount of sugar and vitamins in plant fruits.
Indeed the soil contains up to 33% silicium, but it is inaccessible to plants. This is why silicium deficiency occurs. Plants just can not get it in the required amount. Especially since silicium determines soil fertility. Unstructured dust-like soil is an accurate sign that it contains a small amount of silicium.
Silicium plays an important role in plant resistance to leaning, drought, frost, promotes rapid growth of roots and leaves. The presence of absorbable compounds of silicium reduces the plant's need for phosphorus. The availability of silicium also increases in the presence of phosphorus, nitrogen, potassium, sodium and iron.
In many countries, silicium preparations are introduced into the soil. In Finland, the use of non-silicium fertilizers is not recommended at all. A large amount of this element is removed from the soil with the harvest. It is very difficult to replenish it without silicium fertilizers.
Our Si is a silicium-containing stimulant, which successfully solves all the issues mentioned above. The preparation is characterized by low doses of consumption, which indicates the absence of ballast substances in it. Detailed information can be found on the website of the preparation.
